My view on teaching is very different then those of veteran teachers. I have the attitude that I can change the world, and right now I'm sure that I can. I'm going to change the outlook of those students that feel like education is not necessary. I'm going to improve the self esteem of my students. I'm going to teach the unteachable.  I am going to love the unloved. I'm going to change the world of education.
I know this isn't always going to be possible. I'm not going to be able to go into an inner city school and convince every student that they can succeed and make something of themselves. I'm not going to be able to change a students idea of themselves and prevent them from doing harmful things to themselves. But I am going to be able to try.
